comparing world in conflict mp to TW mp is just not right. world in conflict was a masterpeice in terms of multiplayer. it was so easy to join a clan, to be ranked, to work as a team. this is a game where working as a team doesnt work as you dont have any of those quick buttons to alert people and chatting takes a millenium in TW games compared to WiC. Although you have a point, dont expect CA to get it as good as WiC...sorry.

My problem is, is that 80% of my online multi-player experience has been formed by world in conflict, the other 20% by Company of Heroes. It's like taking 10 steps backwards.
O well, I mean, even Napoleon experienced frustration with "teammates" not doing what they were ordered/requested to do. Can't have the whole world....

Well, I have given MP two weeks, and made many friends from the .org site and through Steam. It's been good, but vanilla ETW is really bugging me, so I think I'm going to be sticking with the mod "Imperial Splendour" from twcenter for a while till CA reworks some things like op'd rifles, artillery accuracy and range, ship rotation, etc.
I might poke my head around MP every now and then, but I plan on being immersed in this sweet mod for while.
mp has upsides and downsides.
I wish there was an inbuild VOIP, the messages u can type ingame are rather short.
LAAAGGGGGG... which is what bugs me the most.

invite you teamates to chat via steam
activate voice chat
set a mouse key or some other non game key for activating talk
shift tab back into the game
and blab away in game no need to shift tab out, steam voip works whilst you playing.![]()

Should have done much to improve teamplay if there was a possibility to do it with randoms.
Maybe you can add say binds in the cfg, like in an FPS on steam.
Anyway, maybe I should search a clan. I might suck, but atleast i play fair and stick around :)
I've heard some bad trhings about the ranked battles myself,which is why I'm sticking to single-player.Some people from what I've heard don't seem to grasp the concept of the fact that a Game called "no mortars"" means exactly that,then they enter the battles with 6 units of the things and the rest all Guard and long-ranged riflemen,which destroys the game for the other player.
just play unranked battles :)
