Have run under both XP SP 3, XP SP 2 and Vista SP 1. No CTD's on any, ever.

Was your Vista 32 or 64 bit?
May the Foss be with you....

XP SP3. No issues, other than some sound still not working and not being able to see my saved games in the save window. They show up fine in the loading window.
Due to the ailing economy, this space has been foreclosed.

    Vista 32 bit.

CTD after the hotfix on turn 5 for any new campaign I start. But my 94 turn Ausrian campaign runs just fine....for now.
    Occational STD when merging units.
    Other minor issues.

    XP SP3

Two CTD's while trying to do exceptional things.

One CTD while trying to merge two fleets which were more then twenty army units transporting.
One CTD after loading a campaign, loading an other and trying to reload the original campaign.

No CTD's while playing and doing normal things.

I defragged my hard drives and cleaned my register before installing Steam and ETW.

TW games are notorious for having problems with registers that aren't in tip top condition.
