game crashes during cpu turn

this bug has been persisting, despite reinstall. I am maybe a quarter way through the eperiote campaign (best one yet) and I keep getting crashes after i end turn and that cpu starts to go.

Usualy a few countries will go through their turns then somone will go then the app just closes without an error. This is either accompanied by a Dr. Watson event error in the event viewer, or no events at all. Here is an example of one of the dr watson events:

This may just be related to the laptop im running it on (hp dv6000, running windows xp pro)

Any help would be appreciated, the last crash took place right after i beat a siege by arche seuklia outnumbered 3-1, and was quite disheartening.

Ended up uninstalling rotw eb and all the expansions, reinstalling, patching to 1.6 and copying my saves back into the directory and havnt had the crash in a few turns, but now all of my family members are listed as client rulers so every turn i get more and more negative affects on them as imposters.
