Install Issues

I've done two completely clean installs and I'm having trouble figuring out what's wrong. I'm not using Vista. I install 1.1 and then 1.2, when I go to start a campaign I cannot get past the loading screen regardless of the faction I choose.

I used the validation program and it says I have missing/changed files. I don't understand why they're missing and/or changed as I'm not doing anything other than simply running the EB1.1.exe and then EB12.exe files without changing or modifying them at all.

You don't have an original installation; There are changes to files, or some are missing.
However, these may be conscious changes you have made, to remod EB. See below for details.

This is because you have installed your EB to BI. That is itself OK, but there are a couple of additional steps you must take to make it work under BI. (Look up the unofficial minimods projects, IIRC there is a custom installer there which takes care of these issues for you.)

This is a problem. See the Installation Validation post.

This is a bigger problem. Use the original executable.
