Anyone figured out the hidden stats jet? Like unit speed, fatigue, and different weapons that units use.
or if adding experience actually does anything?
It does goat, it does...
1 level of experience ads 2 points to accuracy, 2 points to reloading speed, 1 point to all the melee stats (exception is charge) and 1 point to morale. It's pretty cheap also...
You dont really notice it because ofcourse the scaling and handling of stats is different since RTW.
You could test it by fully upgrading one unit of line inf and using one blanco and just let them shoot each other. You should notice differences in reloading for example.
Greets...

good to know sulla, do those increased stats show themselves in the mouse over of the units during army selection, or is it hidden somewhere else? i seem to recall not noticing a difference in the mouse over, but there's alot of the bits and pieces of tw since rome that i don't get, stuff that was blatantly obvious, like stats, in shogun and mtw.
It won't show on the mouseover, I consider that bugged.
One thing you have to take into account in a firefight (and there is a huge difference with melee) is the fact that even "superman" with superduper stats can get shot by a militiaman with a musket. There is no defense against a musketbal... or shrapnel....
When playing a multiplayer game, rightclick on the unitcard of any unit you control. It will show you the correct statistics for that unit.
I think it works like this:
Range: doesnt get upgraded with experience
accuracy: 2 points added per level of experience
reloading: 2 points added per level of experience - base starts a lot lower then accuracy, so this one is important... it also will make sure you use ammo faster ofcourse
melee attack: 1 point added per level of experience
melee defense: 1 point added per level of experience
charge: doesnt get upgraded with experience
morale: one point added per level of experience
Ofcourse, we don't know combat formulas... but perhaps with trial and error we can learn more about whats important and whats not...
These are the most important stats for any unit in TW

One point to correct. You get one point of morale for first upgrade, 0 for second and another one for third.
