Thread: Brigadiers. Unfinished agents?
Murmandamus 04:20 03-30-2009
I constantly get messages that Brigadiers are dying, yet they aren't visible in the towns that trigger the event. Anyone know what the deal is with them?

During my RTI campaign I had a card for a brigadier stuck in the agent tab on a ship and couldn't do anything with it. It said he had the 1st Line Regiment as followers. I haven't seen any since, yet I get death notices for them all the time.

In the manual it says that the promote button is to promote a selected Brigadier to general. How are we supposed to do that if we can't select them? Does the game just pick the best brigadier and make them the new general? I can't see the point in getting spammed with death notices for people I can't see or do anything about.

Are they just an unfinished aspect of the game?

I think they're captains.

One step forward, one step back: we now have brigadiers/Generals for land units, and captains/Admirals for naval. They finally fixed the character age bugs, so they all have "realistic" life expectancies. But, we have to hear a widow sobbing for every 2-bit anonymous brigadier and ship captain that croaks.

Let them sob. As long as my absolute monarch stays in power, those poor widows can cry all they want over a captain/brigader who died on the whim of his sovoreign.

I think you're taking to this absolute monarchy/dictatorship a little bit too well...
