As for heritage, it's solely up to Antigonos as to who is chosen as the legitimate Heir. Right now, Krateros, Antigonos' brother, is set as Heir. The person who takes Antigonos may decide to change that at will. In any case, the final word belongs to the Synedrion. Each person who believes he is good enough to be the next Basileus, aside the set Heir, will present himself to the Synedrion and they will decide to whom they will give their "vote of trust". This basically means you, or anyone who claims the throne, will have to persuade us (the Synedrion) in order to vote for you.

I realise I am only a part of a bigger whole, but that doesnt mean I can't do anythign I can to increase my power and to obstruct anyone's char (eg: Bean) to do the same. That's just roleplaying.
If I decide to sabotage Bean in any way I can while disregarding the fact that the empire is crumbling, that's my own decision.
If I succeed within the limits of the rules of the game, I haven't done anything unfair or wrong :)
(PS: I'm not saying I'll be doing anything of the above by principle, just stating I could if I wanted to)

By no means i meant that I MYSELF (as in the real life me) DEMAND to be made heir :)

I'm just saying that if my char doesn't, I'll roleplay him getting pissed for not being the heir ;)
If I was son on a king, and didn't become king upon papa's passing away, I'd be pissed aswel.
