messing with origonal RTW

ok, so i figured it was about time i learned how to edit stuff so that i could one day help out with EBII. Anways my questions is, Can i mess with my origonal copy of RTW (not the one EB is isntalled in) without ruining eb? Does my question make sence? Thanks, i really want to learn to do this.

Hi Vasiliyi. Messing with any file, even if they aren't EB files, can possibly cause issues if you aren't sure what you are doing. I recommend figuring out exactly what you want to do, and then reading a tutorial about it or asking for more specific help here with something you are trying to mod.

Mostly, you can "mess" with that stuff, even if you are messing with the copy of RTW that you have installed EB. If you are using a separate copy, then you ca "mess" with it all you want. After all, you have a backup, right? But first, tell me the thing you are going to "mess" with.

You can mess with that all the time and not cause anything. EDU is the easiest thing to edit. I do it quite often. So I would not worry about this. Just be sure you have a backup. And it is OK to use MS Notepad for this too, despite what some people will tell you.

Colours? I never went there, but from the files you are going to have to edit, it sounds relatively easy to me. Lots of people edit stats and colours. Now as for "whatever I can figure out", I cannot tell you...
