Just thought I should mention that I don't have much experience using phalanx based armies in EB, or RTW for that matter. Most of my campaigns have been as the Romani, Pahlava, Getai or Saba, all based on fast moving, fluid tactics. I had one Ptolemy () campaign in 0.72 or so but it was a while ago. It may be best for me not to take charge of an army in the dangerous early game, although I'm more than happy to take one if the Synedrion decides.
