A noble life ends

The chief of the odes has passed away in his sleep , a man that was a great leader, with a vision of a greater Geate.

Elders , royals and commoners alike attend the funeral pyre . a procession begins with musicians , and groups of females lamenting over the pyre . Several members of the priesthood walk in formation carrying long staffs with symbols and etchings , and they march in circle, around they pyre . They begin to chant .. this continues for an hour until the pyre is lit. A final farewell to the chief , his body is sent off to the next realm.

People then begin to walk to the towns main square where the ceremony of appointing the new chief begins.Neither Dizo nor Oroles is in attendance

Taras stands upon a podium and delivers his speech


"as many of you know , now is the time for us to deliver the new chief ... though we are now in darkness , our light shall be renewed so that it may illuminate the land , so that we may continue to spread our light over the lands of the Getae. "

"It is now that we must name him . Before we continue , a last change in affairs before the chiefs demise .. our new leader not from Odes blood but reigns from our neighbouring Kostoboki .. Oroles per Drobeta.

Taras exits the podium and the remaining people move on to the drinking hall , where a feast goes on late into the night.
