Tutor and Representative Synedroi: Theodoros Diokletes-An aging veteran soldier, who retired from military life honorably some years ago after a serious injury to his shoulder. He turned to tutoring, and pledged his service to Krateros Argeades, tutoring his young son Alexandros. Once the latter came of age, rather than moving on Theodoros volunteered to become the young man's representative in the Synedrion, the Makedonian Royal Council. And there he remains until this day, an old and trusted friend of Krateros and Alexandros, and a trusty teacher and mentor to his younger brothers.
Treasurer: Dimitris Elias -A rather quiet and reserved man, but nonetheless loyal and trustworthy to his master, the young Strategos Alexandros Argeades. He revels in the counting of money, and excels in the organisation and arithmatic of currency and financing, managing to produce 20% more taxes in a settlement. Not one to be taken to high-end palace parties, but rather the one to leave behind, that you can relax knowing your belongings are in a safe pair of hands until your return.
Veteran Officer: Photios Vasilios-A impressing and scarred veteran of the Makedonian eastern campaigns, Photios Vasilios is a man to be relied on for all military uses. His exploits and experiences have taught him well in the art of tactics, military strategy and logistics. One of the young Strategos' most influential advisors, Photios Vasilios is also the head of Alexandros' companions, always accompanying him into battle and protecting him from danger. His figure and influence is enough to increase the personal valour of Alexandros' companions.
Personal Traits and Ancillaries
Argead Makedonian: I am a member of the royal tribe of the Makedonians, and as such I greatly benefit from my royal ancestors from the first Alexandros to Philippos, and even my distant cousin Megas Alexandros. There are very few members of the Argeadai who remain, and the claim of more than a few to having royal blood is viewed with suspicion by some, but still I have surely benefited from it to some degree in my rise to my current position. I am more prone to having some education and skill in politics and strategy, as well as being energetic, optimistic, having influence, and being loyal. I am also more likely to drink heavily, to be inbred, to be secretive and to lack skills in areas such a spoetry. I am most adept at governing Makedonian homeland provinces and Makedonian garrisons.
Family Member: An example of the grand quality of our people's leaders. I should command armies primarily composed of our own troops. I cannot, therefore, enter allied states without penalties to order.
Man Grown: I am at the peak of my vigour as a young man, an embodiment of Greek bodily perfection. Yeah, baby!
Sharp, Uncharasmatic and Vigourous: My low social skills make me ill-suited for public speaking or politics, and persuades me to entrust these areas to my tutor and representative, Theodoros Diokletes. But my intelligence and vitality could be put to use as a whily general or efficient governer. I might not be the most inspiring leader, but men are better served by an able leader than a flashy one.
Selfish, Optimistic and Disloyal: Though some may describe me as selfish, I personally prefer to say that I choose to look after my own interests first, and if my interests coincide with others, I would be more likely to invest my time and energy in pursuing said interests. It may not be that I actively seek to hurt others by my actions, but that my carefree nature tends to result in my disregarding the feelings of others or my prior engagements. My optimism means I am not likely to be deterred when things don't go my way, or that I will generally see the good points in any situation, turning the bad points on their heads. This will, however, help the morale of those under my command. My lack of obedience may be disturbing to my superiors, but I am happy to make my own way in life and do as I wish. This does not mean I will always seek to break away from the kingdom, but rather I will seek to use my initative and personal ideas to improve the Makedonian world as I see fit, and not always what my 'superiors' wish me to do for them.
Character Movement Permission
Alexandros Argeades' character may only be moved by myself, my current commanding officer or the GM Maion Maroneios, but only upon conferring and confirmation by both parties. The current game Basileus does not have permission to move Alexandros Argeades. Exceptions will be posted here, and only apply while they appear here:
Johnhughthom, please can you move Alexandros' army as planned to besiege Sparta. My reinforcements are to reach and wait outside Korinthos, and Alexandros should retreat from any open fight if at all possible.
Also, may I request that one of Iskander's ships be put at anchor off the coast of the Pelopponese, so that ALexandros has somewhere to retreat to.
Misc
Please move my reinforcements to my army ASAP.
And does anyone know of anything else I can put in here?
