    Honors Awarded:
    • Then Legatus Caius Aurelius Cotta was awarded the Corona Civica for saving the life of Consul, Dux Cnaeus Cornelius Scipio Asina, who later succumbed to wounds received in the battle for Segesta in the winter of 487 ab urbe condita.
    • Then Tribuni Caius Aemilius Mamercus and Aulus Aemilius Mamercus were awarded Phalerae for their ceremonial parade armor in recognition of their individual courage, sacrifice, and skill in the assault on Patavium during the winter of 499 ab urbe condita. Their dedication brought honor to themselves and the entire Legio II Latium.
    • The enlisted men of the Legio II Latium have been awarded the Corona Oleagina in recognition that their Commander, then Legatus Caius Aurelius Cotta, has been awarded the Corona Civica. This item is authorized to be worn with ceremonial parade armor so long as Quaestor Caius Aurelius Cotta remains with the Legio II Latium. If he moves to another command, this decoration is no longer authorized. The men of his new command will not be authorized to wear this decoration until he earns another Corona while serving as their commander.
    • The Prima Cohors Peditata, Principes has been awarded the hasta pura for wounding and killing the enemy King at the battle of Patavium - Winter 488 ab urbe condita
    • An advance reconnoitering force of specialized volunteer troops, personally led by Quaestor Caius Aurelius Cotta, pursued Pyrrhus of Epeiros into his homeland near the enemy capitol city of Ambrakia, after he cowardly fled the full might of the Legio II Latium, and there slew him in battle during the Autumn of 495 ab urbe condita
