Play slowly/timeline accurate
Fight with historicly balanced troops
Use historical formations
Cause Rebellions on purpose
Using of Force Diplomacy to limit AIs progress
Auto calculate battles
Use limited army size for yourself
Disband units with chevrons/because of age
