Title says it all really...landed at Rhodes port, and was attacked there



Never seen The Harbor and Colossus up close before..I could actually set up with my backs touching the harbor walls, (if I so wanted, took the hill instead;))..beautiful graphics for the Port though...

Anyone else got any?

I had a battle at alexandreia once, with a fleet of ships nearby, beautiful scenery with the lighthouse and ships off behind it in the distance, i didn't take any screenies though which is a shame.

And i have had some spectacular battles on mountains in Aitolia.

If you are attacked while seiging one of the cities in egypt (Diospolis Megale i think) you get to fight around the pyramids of Giza, and they're not in the distance either they take up most of the battle map!

There are also spots in Anatolia where if you fight you can see Temple of Artemis, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and the Colossos of Rhodes all at once, can't remember if this happens in EB but it definatley did in vanilla.

I've also had battles in Rhodes and next to Pyramids. It's very refreshing to fight on such battlefields. I've also had a spectacular battlefield at the crossing of the Alps. It was actually looking like a crossing with mountain tops in the distant. Loved that battle.

Some battlefields can be pretty frightening. I once defended almost on top of the last volcano in Nabataia just before the border to Ma'in. Pretty impressive range you get for your archers there, though the "spaghettification" makes you feel a bit sick...

I fought twice or thrice at the Pyramids, and once at the Mausoleion. Only saw the Pharos once when defending Alexandreia.
