Svenn's installation problems

I tried again today

Yes i defnitely installed EB 1.1 before 1.2, however when i entered the save location for the patch - the bit where it says something like 'c:/[please insert the file location of RTW then delete this]' i entered c:/users/home/savedgames/ (the location of Rome:TW on my pc) then it said 'c:/users/home/savedgames already exists, install here anyway?' --- i didnt understand that bit?? bur carried on regardless

In the file containing Rome, EB etc theres a shortcut called 'EB play' - when i double click this i get Rome:TW / Vannilla TW (whatevere you want to call it). When i go to properties it says next to the 'Target' Heading - 'Target: "C:\Users\Home\Saved Games\RomeTW.exe" -show_error"'..... Could that<< be the problem?

Also, when i press the Start menu and search for EB (im using Vista) i find 'Run Europa Barbarorum' - i click this and nothing happens - i open properties and on Target theres a blank space - shoudnt something be in there??

Ive given all the information i can about possible causes of the problem. I hope someone can help.

UPDATE!

I mixture of desperation and curiosity led me to downloading the 'EB Setup up for BI' mod/patch/variant... and it works!!!!!!!

However i would still love to know what happned with regard to my RTW install
