    Default EB II and Vista

I know that while EB 1.1 isn't incompatible with Vista, there tend to be a lot more bugs playing the game on Vista as opposed to XP. Is EB II going to fix this problem? Will it be equally compatible on both OS's? -M

I've had less bugs on Vista actually.

If Medieval II - Kingdoms works on Vista, so should EB II (from what I can tell at the moment).

Ah ok, I wasn't sure if that was because RTW didn't work well on Vista, or if it was a problem with the coding. -M

I played both of them 1.1 and now 1.2 on vista. if you exit and restart the game once 2/3 hours no ctd. I can even claim that I have less ctd than XP but I use alex in my opinion best stable exe for EB.

I have played close to 100 hours of EB 1.2 with RTW.exe on Vista notebook (besides much more hours spent with EB on XP desktop) in sessions lasting from 1 to 6 hours and I have had not a single CTD.

For me the decisive difference-making factor is to wait at least 15 seconds after each battle (before closing the Victory/Defeat screen).

EB2 works fine even on Vista 64.
