I can't see anything in the validation result to explain why it doesn't work. You should not have to shut down your firewall BTW.
Have you tried to upgrade and/or downgrade your video drivers? Also, have you installed Nero (try uninstalling it)? There are some other suggestions in the validation thread, but I think you should check these two first.
