All I wanted to say is that there was no inevitable and deterministic one-way road to war. If you look at the processes leading to the nets of alliances and the ones in the days before the start of the war you can easily see how little things could have steered the world away from war.It was certainly the natural consequence of human nature.
BTW:I'm usually called Oleander and not Orleander. Oleander Ardens = The blossoming Oleander, or the burning Oleander. (The second one has a secundary meaning).
