Just noticed that I have a webcam built in in my macbook, but I am clueless on how to use it, I can take a picture with I-chat, but how do I save it to my album?

I don't know how to use ichat, but I know you can take pictures of yourself with "photo booth". It should come preinstalled on your mac.
To get a picture from photo booth to an album...
1. Take pictures and then click on the photo you want
2. Drag the picture on to your desktop
3. Open iphoto. Open the album you want the picture to go in
4. Drag the picture into the album
