Default Re: The Kingdom of the Crescent

Lands of the Crescent: the provinces of
    Selukeia: large city, income 2500
    Babylon: minor city, income 2000
    Charax: large town, income 1500
    Arbela: town , income 1000

The capitol of the kingdom is Babylon

Policy: the kingdom of the crescent is a strong, centralized, and above all fair government, which seeks to better the lives of all of its inhabitants.

Diplomacy: the Kingdom of the crescent is currently at war with the arche, a situation that can be remedied at any time; we will accept any peace treaty that maintains our current borders, and also lets us retain our independence. The kingdom is also willing (until our war with them is over) to assist any other small kingdoms in their secession from the arche, giving supplies whenever possible.

Military settlers: men of the arche who have not raised their arms against the kingdom are always welcome to join us as brothers.

Generals and governors of the Kingdom:
    Hermokrates Parthikos
    Epikrates Tabaiou Persikou
    Patrokles Adiabenikos

    Regents:
249-???: Epikrates Tabaiou Persikou and Patrokles Adiabenikos

Regents: dual men with kingly power elected into their positions, together they handle all financial and military matter of the kingdom, relying on the councils sound advice
Requirement: been elected into this position on the death of a current Regent
    Influence: 3
    Powers:
    • Can propose a unlimited amount of edicts during a council session
    • If 3/4 of the council agree a regent can banish someone from the kingdom for life
    • Has power over recruitment and construction quos of all settlements without a governor
    • Both acting together give out positions to other generals
    • Both acting together can move the capitol at any time
    • Can lead a 20 unit army

Governor: men given lordship over cities in the kingdom
    Requirement: given position by regents
    Influence: 2
    Powers:
    • Can govern the city they have been given. This means: Set the tax level, ask unit recruitment/building construction (Should be mentioned in the SOT).
    • Can propose 3 edicts per council session
    • Can lead a 12 unit army

Megas strategos: the kingdoms greatest generals, given command of the largest and best armies and charged with protecting its borders and expansion
Requirement: must have been in 3 battles and killed at least 1 enemy general
    Influence: 2
    Power:
    • Can lead a 15 unit army
    • Has a bodyguard of 2 units of his choice
    • Can propose 2 edict per council session

Strategos: a newly recruited general to the kingdom, a man yet to prove his worth
    Influence: 1
    Powers:
    • Can lead a 8 unit army
    • Can propose 1 edict per council session

Edicts: edicts include all things, including what would normally be counted under charter amendments. And require a ¾ majority to go into affect

Impeachment: a regent can be forced to resign if all of the council but himself agrees to it, a fresh election is then held to elect a new regent. (a impeached regent is demoted to whatever rank he would normally be on the kingdom, but suffers no other adverse affect)
