Town wealth?!

I was really surprised as I saw that 'Martinique' had a town wealth of 4563. I took it from the French some rounds ago. It's port was blocked for decades by UP.

So what do you think is it?! A bug, or just a heavy bonus for the AI or else?!

Your game is at 1790, almost finished. It'll just be the constant buildup of +To Town Wealth from various industrial and enlightenment techs.

In this case, enlightenment techs + infrastructure (roads). I doubt the port added anything, as it was damaged. France always gives priority to enlightenment techs, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had all of them by 1730. That adds a lot to town wealth all by itself. ~ 50/turn IIRC.

So I guess it took France longer to finish the enlightenment tech tree... (or it would have been in excess of 6K by 1790).

PS: Just booted up ETW. Without secularism & abolition, my enlightenment bonus at 1751 was 77 / turn.
