    Experimentation is the key.

I can remember a few really unpleasant experiments I've tried...

The worst was probably an attempt at making a soup from stale Malt Liquor and Polish Kielbasa.

    Cheers in advance.
Meatballs are kinda hard to find recipes for...

slice them in half and put them in rolls/batches/kobs whatever you call them
spaghetti and tomato is the best....
meatballs on pizza are good too.

Heh, if it cain't be fried in bacon grease then it ain't fit to eat.

You have to start with something easy. Perhaps a vegetable stir fry. It doesn't matter if it isn't perfect, it's about practise and trial and error. Give it a go.
Yeah, start with basic and easy stuff. It's not that hard, there are lots of recipes on the internet. And seeing you like your grub so much...necessity is the mother of invention eh?

I learned from my mother & grandmothers. Some of my fondest memories as a kid was baking cookies, fudge, jelly rolls, etc... with my siblings, and we ate our mistakes. Well except for the time we used baking soda instead of baking powder *powder, soda, what's the difference right?* in a batch of chocolate-chip cookies. Bleh, they came out like chocolate chip dog biscuits, but even the dog wouldn't eat them.

Generally cream of tartar, though you can use lemon juice if you're not waiting.
