OK, hands up: Who's completed the Krak on Hard or Expert?

I haven't. Out of 5 or so tries I did it once. On normal. Haven't even tried the french campaign on expert, failed on hard.

Managed to do it once.
Lucky crusade succeeded cause the Egyptian where being hammered by the Byz. Took Tripoli a little later to be able to produce some troops (could only build peasants in Palestine for quite a while). Can't remember how mant times that kind of early crusade has failed miserably but I would say at least 4-5 times.

Nope. I don't play a whole lot as France, however. I've tried a couple times and declared it to be against my interests to be expending so much effort so early towards a target so far from my base.

I've done it more than once. It's not easy, though and gives a nice difficulty boost to the campaign. I always find that blitzing the English is key, as you need a lot of breathing space in your homelands. And always take two provinces in the middle east, as you won't be building training facilities in Tripoli, you will be building the Krak. Taking out the Sultan and his sons turning Egypt rebel is also almost needed.

But then again - no screenshot - no credits. I will see what I can find.

It's cool, dude, I totally believe you. You established yourself as a pretty serious player a long time ago.

Now if only I could do the same.

I've won High era with the Volga-Bulgars, Late era with the Byzantines and Almos, and Viking era with the Welsh, but I cannot seem to attain that holy grail of the Krak.
