Romanii - Tara not able to build faction units

Howdy,

Excuse me - I know this has been covered a billion times, but due to an overindulge of vodka and EB in the weekend I'm a little blurry eyed and can't find anything outside of the FAQ - which says I should be good, but..

Ok, so I took Tara - built a homeland MIC - but I still cant build any faction unit types, as I cant build the required construction. Am I just mental? I have destroyed the western greek MIC - but can only recruit local levies - I've noticed this in a couple of other places too...

I know it's really simple, but so am I. A quick answer much appreciated.

First of all, it's Taras. Or Tarentum, if the Greek name troubles you Anyway, I believe you have to wait 'till the Polybian Era to actually be able to recruit factional troops in areas that are not "Romanized", if you get me.

And no, I'm not going to flame anyone.

The problem is, it is already in the FAQ.

Q: As the Romans, why can't I build factional MICs in X area.
A: The Romans can only build factional MICs in areas that contain Roman units. The area expands based on the reform level (see below). During the Camilian Era, you can build factional MICs in your starting cities plus Segesta. During the Polybian Era, you can build factional MICs in "Homeland" regions (Italy). During the Marian & Avgvstan Eras, you can build factional MICs everywhere, but have limited recruitment, based on the area.

But some people doesn't read it carefully enough. But "Taras" questions are asked frequently at the moment. Perhaps someone should really add this as an example to the FAQ.

Edit: But I can not understand why people didn't use the forum serach. Just type in "Taras" and you find the answer.

Shock, I just did it and found about five threads that had answered the question on the first page...(didn't exspect that there were so many threads already)

Oh, and Wandarah, I'd seriously advice stopping and thinking before you insult Maion and Greece again. He's a little...touchy....on the subject. He might bring his posse knocking on your windows with bricks and on your face with baseball bats if your not careful.
