However, I have faith that Tripwire understands their niche.
People who buy RO thinking it's another COD clone drop like fly's in MP It's that niche that makes the game awesome, it's been around so long every one on there already knows how to play and what to expect. Rarely have I seen people complain during a match "oh in COD I could do this...." "in DoD we can drive that...".

Either you like the game, or you don't.

I'm actually dissapointed of the Stalingrad theme. I love RO and everything that comes with it, it's an AMAZING FPS if you know how to play it. Since the price dropped so much it encourages more people, and that means more fresh meat for us veterans.

But anyways, I hope they understand this is what their veteran fanbase wants - keep everything, improve graphics, add a couple of things and voila. A perfect FPS.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Proud

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

No Leningrad, Kiev, Moscow.. etc? Damn, although this still looks pretty cool.

Free weekends are always fun for that very reason.

Although as I almost always play German, its quite disheartening to hear some new guy shoot out an MG42 after about 10 seconds of continuous fire. "Whys my mg sound diff guyz?? I cant hit nothin!"

Either you like the game, or you don't.
I agree and I like it that way. It limits sales though. Small gaming houses that find success always struggle with the potential money to be made by simplifying things. Look how intricate the STW battle engine was compare to M2TW, for example.

I've only played it for a few hours, but I noticed some inaccuracies. For instance, you can't mantle over anything. So if you run into a picket fence, you have to just walk around. I'm also pretty sure that tanks get stopped by fences too (and not only the ones that are actually supposed to stop tanks). Still, it seemed like a really cool game; even though I was really bad at it I found it much more enjoyable than Call of Duty. I just think that having a new engine with destructible terrain, etc, would give it much more potential for realism.
