I'd like to take back what i said about split, and grey was enthusiastic in pm's about the group, i had no response from split. The night action clears them slightly though, possibly just senators going for victory condition (2) still a threat to the republic though..

That was because he's been saved by cicero for 2 turns now and I didnt have anyone else to go on. That and i'm still a bit bitter about the whole "used my vote to kill a faction mate" thing.

So basically the fact that Iskander and I were going for an Optimates victory is the reason you betrayed us LG? I was expecting it anyway to be honest. The main reason I agreed with the policy was that I am cynical about the Pompeians being gone, if there was only one left not posting messages and having a dead mafia pretend you're all gone seems like a fine strategy.

I've been supicious of beefy after the rest of town at one point wanted to kill me over, who was in my veiw, an allmost blatantly scummy lurker and cicero saving him twice just seemed to support it.

As for the group, well, I don't give a toss about whether or not I get the town or populares victory, in the end its still a win, it just seemed like a good idea to get into a group that could help bail me out of being lynched in the near future.

I would just like to point something out to those sceptical of the role pms Iskander and I posted. We both had the role of famous Romans, especially me, who were brothers. My character was close to Caesar, but there were others much closer, and my brother would never have been seen as a candidate for a Caesarian. If we were actually other Casaerians who used fake role pms we would never have used the characters we did in case somebody else in play was actually the Lepidus brothers.

I have to admit I haven't played many mafia games, are cover role pms for mafia normal? Doesn't seem very fair if they are...
Still my point stands, Lepidus was a very famous Roman and if there were cover role pms given out, it seems unlikely he would be wasted on that.

Historically speaking, Cicero would be the last person to join either Optimates or Caesarian.

He was investigated and found to be optimates (by john and iskander). We have cultured drizzt, atheotes, and tratorix down as the pompeiins...slim possibility that cultured made it up imo...he would have had to be in league with them as a regular senator somehow.
