    Default Day IX

“I have so lost my manly spirit that I prefer to be tyrannized over in peace and quiet.”
    - Marcus Tullius Cicero

The Senate was full of snoring men. Apparently most were getting little sleep at night due to paranoia or other less passive activates. Their fatigue was telling, and the debate was largely confined to a few particular individuals bickering amongst themselves. Eventually, a small consensus began to emerge that was focused on Beefy187. Suddenly, and at the last minute, several Senators spontaneously, and with little explanation, changed their votes to Tratorix. This resulted in yet another tied vote.

At this point an older man rose, looking disdainfully at the large number of snoring Senators around him. He smoothed the folds of his fine, white toga and began to address the merits of the arguments against Beefy187. His colorful language and excellent rhetorical style caught the attention of a few others, including Iskander 3.1. As the older man went on, he explained how the case against Beefy187 was weak, and that instead Tratorix was more worthy of the proscription. Isksander was so taken by his arguments that he immediately leaped to his feet, shouting “He’s right! Why didn’t I see that before?!” He immediately changed his vote to Tratorix.

With so few votes, no one even had to count in order to know who had been chosen for proscription. Tratorix’s face whitened in horror, and he rose from his seat in the Optimates section and fled out into the forum. At the first sight of him, the waiting mob cheered heartily. The regular proscription of so many wealthy men was making the plebians extremely pleased. Few opportunities for easy personal enrichment existed in Rome, and a lifetime’s wealth was excellent pay for a few seconds of state-sanctioned violence. Tratorix tried to escape the crowd, but there were too many of them. He was pulled down to the left of the Curia and quickly clubbed to death.

As the Senators filed quietly out into the city, everyone slipped on a paving stone that was wet with blood. He flew through the air, head-first, and landed with a smack in a large pile of horse manure. The blow instantly knocked him unconscious. A few of his fellow Populares saw the spectacle, but none wished to dirty their togas in the mess. Without aid, everyone soon suffocated, his nose and mouth clogged with dung. A few slaves looked on curiously, but after a while they lost interest and left. The corpse rotted for several days before a local merchant grew tired of the smell and tossed it into the Tiber.

Dont you think it is unfair that Iskander's vote switch after the deadline was included

and funny thing is Iskander has edited his post and his last vote is on Beefy

Hmm, I believe Beefy and his partner are definitely innocent.

Greyblades and splitpersonality are my top two suspects, trust me on this one. They should definitely be tied up in a group tonight.

(and to whoever killed me, I will give you the satisfaction of knowing that at this moment it pains me greatly not to be able to communicate in private)

Iskander's vote after the deadline was not counted. The vote switch indicated in the write-up was an entirely different thing.

Atheotes, Iksanders vote switch was to late, its the vote switcher role that changed his vote not iksander himself...

I will contact greyblades and split and organise them to do .... something...

Now just where is Cicero? I'm sure he has something to say..
Looks to me like the pompeiins are toast (cultured, atheotes, tratorix) and beefy is optimates faction evidently.

I would put good money on splitpersonality being mafia...greyblades has a very good chance as well, for lurking and other things. A handful of others after that but they aren't high on my list.

Ok several people have not contacted me for thier orders for what to do tonight, this isn't helping me organise the groups at all...

In the words of an eloquent speaker... 'your either with us or against us' those not paticipating in the night actions are most definetly not with us...

Hmm, thinking about it, technically there's no real reason to believe that cultured was actually one the 3 pompeiins. He could have been put up to it or been a recruit of some kind. I guess we'll see how many mafia kills there are tonight.

From a PM sent to me by Split, the night Ichigo died:

"You, me, Marshall murat, and Iggnoramous are set to defend.

This is incase you return on time, this is our new group.

We will stay in contact, and most likely protect people instead of attacking. Certain nights I may need to drop out, as I have something going with Chaotix, and some nights he requires me to help him, but I will inform you of this ahead of time."

Also, me, beefy, and him were supposed to protect GSC when GSC died, but Split failed to show. I believed him when he said he forgot to PM TinCow, but now I'm not so sure.

Ok no problem, congratulations on making yourself my kill target for tomorrow night.... even if only because i have wasted effort now and its too late to change the order

Ohh and if he is a big a suspect as me... assuming im some kind of suspect to you... surely his removal would be to your benefit.

If i suspect Sasaki and Greyblades for example i would help sasaki kill greyblades as it removes someone i suspect...

Your probably just a bad townie, still as a suspect and a bad townie you've made your way to the top of the kill/lynch list..

Ohh and please explain what this suspicion is about...

Lastly, apologies split, my hands were kinda tied in the matter.... you will probably be killed off in the next few nights due to the suspicion on you, but, if you as you claim are, loyal to the republican ideals of rome then you will continue to help us in the meantime, who knows we may get the last mafia before your death...

Even if you do die in the glorious struggle for the republic... you are part of the victory as long as you are a senator, so even if you are to die before the republic is saved, your name will be honoured throughout time as the senator who martyred himself for rome!

    Edit:

I don't know if you can submit order changes or even if there will be enough time left...

But if so the group i ordered to attack splitpersonality change your attack to greyblades, remove greyblades from the list of helpers and replace him with splitpersonality...

split... if you would be so kind as to join the attack...

Your killing a townie just because he refuses to kill someone else who he has no reason to? Since when were you elected judge, jury and executioner? Your more scummy to me than split and I have no reason or inclination to help you because when posed with the choice of killing a proved investigator or a unconfirmed lurker you go for the townie. If the rest of town is this dense then we may as well give up.

I am not a mafia I am a one use detective I've used it up and now I'm just a townie.

Its late game Greyblades. LittleGrizzly seems to know whats happening with most of the players. The best way for us to win is by getting rid of players who doesn't seem to be in group.

Are you 100 % sure about LittleGrizzly? He was a suspect of Sasaki a couple of rounds ago. Did he in the meanwhile provide the required evidence of the role he claimed in that round?
