    Default Bactria Help

Hey guys, long time since I last was on this corner of the .org, so yay me.
Next year, I will be doing the InternationalBaccelaureate (For those of you who don't know, its a qualification you do before Uni), and for that, I need to do a 4,000 word essay on a subject of my choosing. Now, thanks to the work of you guys, I have decided to do it on the Bactrians, and was wondering:

    a) Where did the source material come from?

    b) Who was in charge of the Bactrians development in the game, on the historical, as opposed to skinning/modelling etc. side?

    Thankyou once again,

    CHE

    Che,

I don't have inside information for the answers to the specific questions you ask above, but I can at least remind you to check out The EB Bibliography and its section on Bactria. Thundering Zeus is considered to be the classic reference for this faction...I just ordered it a few days ago and I'm really looking forward to digging in soon!

    Good luck with your research...

I'm a rather new member so I can't answer at some points. I personally don't have read the Thundering Zeus (don't have seen it in the library I frequent) and especially read the French stuff so...

Tarn and Narain are a good base but a little exceeded, the actual specialist (about the numismatic evidences especially) is Bopearachchi.

I thought Keravnos was the EB Baktria member? Are you his new sidekick, DeathFinger?

God bless you Che Rohiniro, I was thinking about writing my extended essay on some EB related topic as well (either on the Bactrians or the Tokharians, though at the moment I'm inclined in favour of the latter). I'll be scribbling down some notes of my own if you don't mind.

I'll keep you posted. The Tokharians are to sketchy and, well, chinese for me to attermpt (I just find Chinese History boring really, and Tokharians aren't greek enough)

    cheers again,

    CHE

(P.S. Sorry about the abject xenophobisism there, I just find Indo-Helleno-Persio-Nomadic History more interesting than Sino-Hellenic )
