Has anyone seen the AI retreat?

Don't want to raise this as a bug unless other people can confirm it, but I've never seen the AI retreat when attacked. It was fairly normal in Rome and MTW, that when attacked by a superior force, the AI would just run off; in ETW, they always choose to fight.

Anyone ever seen the AI retreat?

Nope. Never, ever. The AI is just too manly to let a 10:1, or even 100:1, disadvantage get in the way.

I can confirm that too - never seen them retreat - no matter how outnumbered or out-classed they are.

Never seen an AI retreat. Post patch 3: it sometimes surrenders the cities though. But it appears, the garrison cannot be just townsfolk: the city actually has to contain some real units for the surrender to be accepted.
