    Default Running ships aground

If you let ships chase you all the way to the red line you can get them stuck there. Just make sure your ship itself does not touch the redline or it will get stuck too. Then while they are stuck you can hammer away at them with impunity. Although you have to be near max distance away from them because they can still turn but won't turn to fire if you are near max distance from them. The only downfall is the ships get away right away when they route.

The trick is to have them chase 1 ship and see which side the enemy are favoring, and if they are trying to favor the left side of your ship turn right once you get near the redline. This causes the AI to try to swing out away from you smacking it into the redline and blammo stuck.
When a fox kills your chickens, do you kill the pigs for seeing what happened? No you go out and hunt the fox.

When I see the AI get stuck on the red line, I quit battle and reload
