Which season has the highest chance of musket/arquibusier fowling weather (rain or snow)?
Is it always the same, regardless of the season? Does anyone actually know the "base chance" of rain or snow?

I think it's Autumn. Certainly, the chances are different for each season; some people have also stated that they are different for each province, but this is unsubstantiated.

actually guys,
Summer is the biggest chance of rain with I think 50% chance of rain.
Autumn and Spring are on the same level with few chances of rain.

summer thats a suprise
but in Spring u get fine rain when the guns work sometimes btween spits
summer!? i almost always get rain when i play in the spring and ive never gotton rain in the summer
For what it is worth considering the random nature of the weather, I went through 100 days for each season (at Totomi if that matters) and got the following results (the number in parenthesis is the number of days that had that weather):
For rain/snow: Fall (58), Winter (53), Spring/Summer (40 each)
For fog: Winter (22), Summer (18), Spring/Fall (10 each)
For fog, Winter tended towards heavier fog, while Summer tended to be light fog.
Having done that, my gut reaction for rain does not agree with the numbers above. I would say Spring or maybe Summer would have the most rain from my experience.

off topic but, when americans say 'fall' instaed of autumn i get confused, but thats easy, ah never mind
You must take into consideration not only the first day of combat but also the options of weather the attacker has.
ex: in summer if you get rain, it is very rare that you get a fine day on the same day.
in autumn if you get rain on the first day; on the second/third you may get a fine day easily.

if you wish to study the weather percentages and so on, there is a file called 'weather.txt' in the shogun\battle dir.
one note: if you alter this file your multiplayer games will likely crash until you restore it to what it's supposed to be. (Rob tried this months ago is how i know about this).

I'll have to have a look at that weather file...
It does seem that there is a surprisingly high chance of rain in the summer though. I guess they've done that to make people think twice about taking too many muskets??
we better all restrict the number of muskets to 3 max and then choose a fine day. these are the most exciting battles.

Doesn't the chances change on each province. I mean, the chance of snow must be bigger in Dewa than in Osumi, and vice versa with rain.

Don't reckon the game is that smart.

I think "rain" is a random pattern, the warmer southern provinces seem to have much less heavy fog and snow than the colder northern or mountainous ones

I agree with Terazawa. It's Summer that have highest chance of Raining. It hardly ever rain in Spring, very rare.
