Shared defense and "defensive" technology. If WE leaves, he gets hit hard on the technology scale as he is forced to resort back to throwing spears and and sharp rocks.

If you can convince a country with a high Tech to join then yeah I guess you could share. I think I should probably make alliances raise all member countries tech levels to the value of the member with the highest tech level.Why in the world did Turkey, join NATO???

I disagree. A higher tech country must voluntarily share that tech.
We might be allies with someone but that does not mean we share our most advanced weapons technology. Otherwise you could form an alliance with the USA, then cancel the alliance, and be as technologically advanced as the USA.

You do trading or agreements, like a defensive treaty would imply a nation can help you and if they help you, then you have that level.
While another treaty could be if you wanted to share, you could.

I think I will just leave tech trading up to Role play just tell me you want to sell or give your tech and I'll raise ther level.
Sorry I havent made any progress on the Role PMs so far but the franticness of that mixup earlier has realy put me off my stride. All I want to do right now is kill things on Mount&Blade.

If by group you mean alliance then yes but you may have to make a choice if one alliance attacks the other.
