First, pardon the pun.
Here's the scoop: I've come down with a cold, and you guys get to help eliminate the virus-infected cells! I don't know if there's a term for this type of mafia, but the format is as follows:
There will be two teams, infected cells (mafia) and healthy cells (town). The game starts with one infected and 6 healthy cells.
Here's how it will flow:
Night 1: The infected cell will choose one healthy cell to infect. This cell will be told that they are infected, but not by whom. Please don't PM directly to the cell you are infecting, or it will greatly upset the balance of the game and I may have to punish you under the IoI (Ire of Iskander).
Day 1: The town will vote for whom they suspect is infected, and the cell with the most votes will by engulfed by a phagocyte.
Night 2: The cell that got infected from the previous night now chooses a healthy cell to infect. This works just like night 1. So, each infected cell only gets to spread the infection once.
Day 2: Just like day 1.
If the newly-infected cell gets lynched the following day, the chain is broken and there can be no further infection. In that case, the mafia can only win by convincing the other cells to not vote for them.
Some advice: Be wary of pointing a FoS, because you might end up being their teammate in a round or two!
Publicly revealing your role is not allowed under any circumstances whatsoever and will result in IoI (this fills the one loophole I found in the game).
I have run a few sample rounds on paper, and I think (hope) that it's balanced. But this is still experimental for me! Please join only if you plan on having fun, no matter which side wins!
One last thing: There are 5 excellent mafia games going on right now. Please be considerate of other hosts and only sign up if you're able to keep up with your other games, too. I don't want to steal participation from other games.
