*waits for more people to post victories before playing*

This is why I hate the overrated greek armies: when things go wrong, they go really wrong. Oh, well. won though. Keep em coming.
Thanks for playing Ankhenaten, hope you had fun!
Oh yeah! Just ignore me. I autoresolve all of my campaign battles, so I'm not very good at them anyway, but I'm enjoying these![]()
You'll probably wind up with a few ballons by the end.

Just to make sure I don't miss the deadline, the last day to submit the AAR is May 31 right?

This battle was really hard..i lost my first effort, cause i have overlooked the cavalry..
My third battle wasn't so bad, i let my phalanx form a square, used the assaultinfantry as support for the phanalnxunit in the front. 751 men survive this battle.
But this wasn't enough for the first place, so i try it time and time again..at last, because of frustation, i used a special strategy, strg+a and storm, and so the barbaroi ran (ok i use my hippeis to flank..and then they ran).
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

congratulations Medario, i thought a countercharge would never work against all those elites, looks like i was wrong
i hope the new battle is comming soon![]()
Aah! I missed the deadline! But I'll post my results anyways.
I did learn a couple of new tactics trying to win this battle. The enemy was not attacking the flanks, so I moved up my phalanxes on the sides to cover the hoplite advance to flank, allowing them to attack the enemy's sides without the danger of being counterflanked. And I was surprised that those peltasts are so capable of holding lines too. But I did find it peculiar that the enemy infantry all swarmed toward the phalanx's middle, leaving my wings free to counter.![]()
