Post The Folder The Would Not Die

    Hey gang,

As you may remember, I reinstalled Windows XP after getting some combination of infections that I couldn't bring under control. Everything went peachy, but I have one thing that I can't fix: The folder that would not die.

It's on my storage drive, not my C:, and I can't remember what it was originally called. I've checked its permissions, scanned it with NOD32, tried Killbox, tried re-naming it (successfully), tried creating a new folder with the same name and replacing it, etc. Frankly, I've tried everything I can think of short of re-formatting the entire drive (which would be a bother, since it's a 500 gig drive nearly full of music, educational videos, Steam and a lot of other hoggish apps).

Ideas? How should I destroy my empty, undead folder?

Just downloaded and tried it. No joy.

I take it back, the app worked, it just took so long I thought it had frozen. Thanks!

Have you tried GiPo Utilities? http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/U...Utilities.html

It was recommended by someone here to remove a file from my sys that simply refused to be deleted.
Worked like a charm. Your problem may not be the same, but worth a try.
