I have NEVER liked the winner song. Sometimes it makes me wonder what is the criteria to choose the winner. For example, I don't like at all the last winner.

I have not seen those of this year, or maybe I did and I don't remember. When did the France submitted the "s'il fallait le faire"?

Anyways, who do you think will win this time, or which entries are the best ones, to take a look on them.

Not that many hot entrants either. Ukraine has basically entered a singing stripper. Russian's song is good... but I prefer their entry in 2007; Serebro- Song No#1.

Her wiggling aß is the best weapon of the Turko-Belgian chick and they disabled it with the stupid, cliché belly dancer costume. The song is not a song at all, her already mediocre voice is buried deep into bad arrangement and the dances don't live up to having an expectation.

BTW, how is the voting done with this? Are there judges or do people in Europe submit votes somehow or what?

All the countries paticipating votes using points 1-12. But because of constant failings in the voting... and border/block voting, they've introduced a judge panel... Sort of like Additional Member System if anyone understands what I mean.

I like the Russian entry... you have to listen to it a few times... and my lfuency in spanish draws me towards their entry.

I have a theory that Lloyd-Webber will go insane if he doesn't win the song contest this year for britain. Thus we'll have some more musicals coming out, with underlying metaphors about the destruction of europe through the medium of song.

It just started on BBC1 - I missed the first two songs, but I heard the following:

France - I dislike it, the song made no sense whatsoever... but the crowd went wild.
Sweden - An opera singer? AWESOME!
Croatia - Blahhh....
Portugal - Quaint and endearing, got quite a nice feel to the song. Me like

and I liked the Russian song... if only I could be extremely fluent in cyrillic, I would have been joining in. Ok, maybe the singer wasn't all that great, and the background was weird... but still, it was an alright song.

Shame about Spain's entry doing that poorly...

I very much liked the UK entry. It was so... so... western. The girl has an amazing voice.

I absolutely despise the Norwegian song. Bah, really annoying. But at least it's Norway that has won.

Pick whichever you like. It should be seen as an opportunity for people to travel around Europe and spend time with people from different countries. This year it's in Moscow, last year Belgrade, year before than Helsinki, year before that Athens...

I have laughed heartily every time I have come across a Eurovision song on the web. This is the first time to be honest that I have liked any song from it. I liked Norway and Slovakia, but esp Norway.

once you realise the slim chances of winning... hence you just make efforts to poke fun at it; Look at Vercha Seduchka, Ukraine 2007. And She Came Second!

Spain with Chiki Chiki last year, I highly doubt that anyone really expected that song to win.
