Memtest or memory test, a tool to check the condition of the RAM in your PC. Might be among the list of available options (in the menu with other options like 'Safe Mode') when you press F8 on start up.

In general, if there is mentioned something on the internet which you don't know what is, a quick search on Google will help. There are several products for stress-testing your memory, and Memtest is one of them which are free. You can also try Prime95, its primary purpose is testing whether overclocking works or not, but it can be useful for testing hardware too.

Yes, it could of course be something else. The problem is, I don't know what.

Does your computer only crash when playing EB? If that is true, I recently had a problem where my computer would freeze when loading only with EB. I eventually found out I had a bad motherboard after a few months when my computer wouldn't boot at all one day. One other thought is your computer may be overheating and causing your computer to crash, that happened to me for a while when ever I was on the computer for more then an hour, I think that is what ruined my mother board actually because I didn't know what it was for a couple of weeks and after cleaning my cpu and fan of dust it stopped overheating and shutting down on its own.

    Few things to check.
