Inspired by a recent CoD 5 session, where I finally bothered to look at the name of the repeating sniper rifle the Russians get.

Now, I'm no expert, but generally I don't think it's wise to fire a fifty calibur weapon of any sort without bracing yourself. Our friend Petrenko, however, not only manages to carry this 14.5mm (that's about .57 caliber) 20kg (45lb), 6ft long, beast, but is capable if firing and loading it on the move! Amazing!
I tell ya, give a Russian some vodka and the love of the Motherland and they can do anything
(Also, bipods are for wusses)
For reference, this is a comparison of bullet sizes:

The round fired by the weapon in question is slightly longer and a teensy bit wider than the .50 BMG at the left. Compare, if you will, to the 5.56mm (2nd from the right) fired by many Western assault rifles.
I had great fun clearing buildings of Germans with that thing
Secondly, in the same game, it always amazes me how Nazi flamethrowers explode if you so much as poke them with a knife, whereas American flamethrowers unaccountably fail to explode even if you get shot in the back repeatedly. Or blown up by a grenade.
I guess Americans aren't allowed to die horrific fiery deaths. Or maybe it has something to do with how the American flamethrower never, ever, runs out of fuel![]()
