The do get off the boat at times, unfortunately all too rarely. I've had AI land a successful invasion force in a harbor and take a province from me. I've also seen a British AI's force land on the coast near Gdansk and join Austria's fight against the Poles.

I still havent seen an invasion yet. Must be my bad luck. Not that it really bothers me all that much.

CA said that naval invasions can occur but that it will not happen very often. I think that you should be pleased when you have witnessed one
