I definitely prefer heat to cold, for one reason: you don't have to shovel sunshine.
Otherwise, just checking in, letting you all know I'm still active.

Ok, so I'm once again having problems with battles. It CTD when I try to fight on the battlemap and I really don't feel like autocalc'ing at this point.
I'll try reinstalling everything but that will take some time. Probably won't be able to finish this turn today, though tomorrow should be fine.
I want to know if anyone else has had similar problems/bugs or anything else that is technical in nature. Really hope it's just me here and that I can fix it easily.
havent had such a problem yet. i fought a pretty huge portuguese army last turn without any problems

Ok. So i reinstalled all the stainless steel mods and battle worked like a charm. Don't know where the problem came from but whatever, it's gone.
And yes. Caen belongs to the Franks now. I'll put a small story/AAR tomorrow.

I'll get to this tomorrow; I have no time to play today, unfortunately.

Sicily is up.
Also, I finally captured Milan!

You wouldn't believe the experienced nightmare stack inside there. In order to beat it with my crappy militia, I had to slowly whittle them down with that siege, or I couldn't even get past the walls!
Of course, I'm also probably not nearly as skilled in battles than most of the other players...![]()

Had you been one turn later, I was eyeing that city with a 3 general stack and some mercs :P That doesn't mean I would've won, but I certainly would've tried!
And try as I can... I can't seem to write any decent AAR. Seriously, I'll have to lock myself up with nothing but a pen and some paper and try do just produce something decent >_<

Hello all,
My turns seem always to show up at weekend. I will have to do it at night :)
[]s
Greetings,
Turn 16 for ERE
*salute*
In a few hours I'll have to skip the turn.
I've talked to rouroux, he said he'd do it but... the deadline is quickly approaching!
Here's the Moorish turn.
Unfortunately, I don't believe Ramses can make it, so can anyone sub?
If I encounter the same problem next turn with the ERE and the Moors, I might consider finding permanent remplacements to keep the game going.
Tristan de Castelreng will be taking over the Moors! He will have an extension to complete the turn, so he can catch up on what's happening and install the mods/addons.
Welcome to the game!
Also, a point which may or may not have been debated (my memory fails me) - attacking boats that are in docks, legal or not? Has anyone done so yet?

I say illegal! I have bad memories of that. ;P
The Great Seljuks, Winner of the "Broken Crescent: Commanders of the Faithful" hotseat
lol, but see how the tables are reversed now, the Seljuks control the Black Sea! (Or at least I think you do... my, ahem totally honest travelling minstrels! who are totally not spies, oh dear god no, how dreadful would that be! have yet to reach that area and inform me... with their songs, yes that's it, their songs! of what happen there.)

I gots plenty of 'em! But I'm not yet Sicily or the Fatimids. Those guys mean business!
ATTENTION HOTSEATERS
I've been talking with TheFlax that I'm sure a lot of you already know very well. He has agreed to play a small, but vital faction that has been somewhat overlooked: the Papacy. To make things interesting, I'd propose we ignore all "religion related events" such as excommunications, papal standing and the such. Let the player controlling the faction call for crusades (RP-wise), excommunicate players who displease him, etc. Of course, that means that if the game, technically excomms someone, we must just bear with it, etc, but we already do that, don't we? What do you all think about this?
For those of you concerned that the Papacy might somehow try to take over the world by the brute force of its papal guards and overwhelming autocalc' powers, don't worry too much. TheFlax is an awesome RPer but I wouldn't bet too much on him should he go militarily against his neighbors, no offense Flax! We could put more rules to delimit this unique participation, or just trust him! I know I do.

I think this is a great idea - would we be able to somehow work the college of cardinals into this? Then there would be an in-game incentive to get Priests levelled-up to Cardinal status.
I must confess to a vested interest in that as I have two Cardinals at present, one more than anyone else.

We could indeed do two things: 1- ignore the in-game elections and vote them though RP/polls and 2- if people are motivated, a new thread, the Roman Catholic Curia.
