That gameplay demo had the opposite effect on me. It confirmed everything I disliked about the original game. You're not an assassin in any conventional sense; instead you're some kind of superhero that fights 50 guys on the way to the target, and then fights 50 guys on the way to your escape.

In that trailer, you're strong enough -- wearing robes, no less -- to take a sideways hit to the torso from a two-handed axe wielded by a guy in armor, and shake it off. Right.

On top of that, scripted encounters where you *can't* use stealth to kill a major target, no matter what you do. Notice the "there he is!" exclamation in the trailer. Think you can avoid that? Nah.

I played the original game (PC version) about halfway through, got fed up with the scripted mission encounters where mission targets were scripted to require running through the streets for a final kill, and bailed out. This doesn't look any different. I might buy it if the reviews indicate it's a different game, but if it's as scripted as the last one... no thanks. I don't like being teased with skill upgrades I can't actually use in the game, unless I follow a narrow plot-on-rails script.

And it was awfully convenient how when you faced off against three guys, the two of them you weren't directly fighting at them moment didn't attack you, but just paced around, like in a badly choreographed kung fu movie. What dispelled my suspension of disbelief even more was the suicide jump where 5 feet of hay saves you.
