I think that was only a bit of factor, I remember when I play FATW (which using BI) I often get Palantir (which at the start allready 105), becomes young again...

The result of using the ALX engine is the fact that in vanilla ALX there is a failsafe that prevents Alexander from dying of old age before the game has ended. This failsafe is called the Immortal trait. More information here
