    You mean Patch?

Fire up ETW, it should say so at the bottom of the main menu screen.

    Yes.

You can also start Steam. Go to my games. Right click on Empire and go to updates. The last is the fix from May 1.

    Ok and thanks for answer.
I was hoping for a new patch so the economy could be better. Even on easy/easy and whith lots of indiamen on trading, and evry city in america and with only too full army I got bankrut. I have also done all the resach to. This makes this game not fun any more.

I realy don't know how to play this game and have god economy.

Well it sounds like your economy is better than the AI.

Read the threads they give lots of good advice. Also when it comes to the economy it generally is very hard to go massively wrong.

    Basics:
Build up your non-trade economy at the start. Farming gives you a steady income immune to trade blockades and piracy. It also boosts your population growth so that you get more towns.

Early on put your taxes to the minimum. This will boost the population and the wealth each town gets.

Lower class taxes affect population. The lower these taxes the faster villages grow.
Villages create wealth and special abilities.
Upper class taxes affect town wealth. The lower these taxes the greater the village wealth grows.

Your provincial income is your town wealth x tax rate. So you can either go low town wealth and high tax or high town wealth and low tax. The later is better to do as town wealth can actually decrease if too heavily taxed.
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

Thanks for answer, but still why do I got bankrut. I can play in 10 - 15 yeare and the economy is god. Without building more army = bankrut.

i find that my money amount from trading increases greatly on the harder difficulties. On my M/M dutch campaign, I was very low on funds for the first 30 years or so, due to spamming indiamen and armies. On a VH/M dutch campaign, I was rolling in cash in 10 years, and still spamming the troops.
