Default CTD upon Scrolling on the Campaign Map

I have experienced two CTDs upon scrolling the campaign map - not opening anything or something. Never ever experienced it before and wanted to forget it as random, but now I encountered it again, when I reloaded this very savegame it previously occured with.

Here's what I have lately modded: Given me new units via switching the mercenary attribute from one unit to another. I have deleted Mistophoroi Thureophoroi and Mistophoroi Iphikratous Hoplitai from descr_mercenaries.txt. Strangely it first occured when I have deleted the Thureo. from the mercenary pool, the Iphi. didn't seem to have an impact. Also I wandered around and bought off the remaining mercenary units.

Do you think the descr_mercenaries.txt could really have such an impact? Because I have honestly no idea what else could have caused it. If it does have an impact, would it be better just to change the lines instead of removing them entirely, for example

    Code:
    pool Hellas
regions Makedonia Thessalia Aitolia Attike Euboia Peloponnesos Lakonike Krete Rhodos Lesbos Mysia
     unit hellenistic infantry thureophoroi mercenary, exp 0 cost 3075 replenish 0.000 - 0.000 max 0 initial 0

I would think it would be safer to only eliminate replenishment but leave the max alone. Otherwise you could get a situation where there are more than the max in a pool (such as 0.2 units).

I just wanted to give a little update: altering the replenishment rate to zero does not have an effect at all.

Then the answer is "no, not in this case".

I'll have an eye on this and will report if further problems occur when I delete the lines from the mercenaries.txt instead altering them.

I used to have the same kind of crash back in 1.1 with the "army within army"-bug: When i scrolled the campaign map within reach of a city inhabited by such a constellation, i experienced instant ctd.

    What means "army within army"?

Army within an army is the oddity whereby an entire army appears as unit (Captain XYZ) inside another army (Captain ABC). Usually the army (XYZ) within that army (ABC) is actually nowhere near the real army on the campaign map.
