Thread: NVidia 185.85 drivers

    Default NVidia 185.85 drivers

I tried the latest drivers from NVidia and problems appeared aplenty!
1...When playing ETW I couldn't scroll right with the mouse I'm sure this happened pre 1.2
    2...Game freeze and general glitches

3...In Vista the display always defaulted 1280x1024 even though I had applied 1900x1200.

I have taken out these drivers and gone back 182.50 no problems!

The bottom line is don't use the latest drivers!

I am using them and have very good performance and no problems at all. I have installed them to get my new GTX275 working.

I think they caused flickering shadows for me, sometimes on the campaign map and at the start of most battles, not that big of an issue so I keep using them for now

I just moved to these drivers in XP and have seen no issues. There is no performance benefit either.

I've got these drivers with XP and a 9600GT. Only issues I've had are some flickering shadows during battle deployment, but things are fine during the actual fight. No campaign map issues.

I also tried these drivers for Vista 64 bit when they came out and had quite few problems. My screen went blank right after booting up. I finally was able to boot up into safe mode and remove them. I'm not sure what happened, but I haven't been tempted try them again.
