PTW wont load past start

Hi guys,

not sure i'm the right place but i'm not getting any where on searches.....

i downloaded punic toal war mod some time ago onto my dongo, i finally got around to replacing all the necessary files & all seems to fine, i can start the game pick the punic campaign but it crashes when i hit start ??? what do i have to do to make it run?

cant remember where i got the download now (off here i think)

i'm running a clean copy of RTW GOLD 2 on XP which runs fine, i have also installed alexander expasion recently

You really need to know where the mod came from, so you can check it's readme instructions, it might not have been for the later RTW patch... The only Punic Total War I could find was this one

which looks like its an add on for RTR (eg you'd have needed RTR mod first)

- there are various versions of that though so check the 'small print'
that link said it was for RTR platinum 1.6 and they now seem to be up to version 1.9...

thanks Maka that certainly explains everything, just my lack of knowledge getting me in trouble.

do u recommend a good mod for RTW gold (p.c is not the most up to date it'll run RTW but not ETW for instance)
