    Default Re: Sources of Information

I don't want to disappoint you, but to make such a model you would need hundreds of battles to analyse in order to re-create a historic AI. Fighting a battle has partly to do with making choices. These choices were different depending on many factors (weather, fear, hunger, confidence, a general's abilities, experiences of the armies, size of the armies, equipment, military and operational techniques, the strategic alternatives for not fighting the battle, ...). Making a realistic model would imply integrating all these variables in a realistic way. Doing this would imply having access to detailed accounts of many, many battles. In theory, it could be possible to do this. In reality: you probably won't have sufficiently accurate information to suficiently validate the model you made.

    Kind regards,

    Andy
