One again a huge thank you to the EB modding team past and present and all forum users whose advise I followed.
It's done, finished, complete my Romanii campaign is over and it's AD14. The version 1.2 I started before Christmas has come to an end and it was great.
I used Lz3's minimodd pack which worked like a dream very few CTD's, mostly after battles, very stable. Whilst I did use forced diplomacy it was very rarely and only "cheat" was toggle_fow.
It was a slow roleplayed campaign on M/M and I totally enjoyed it.
I'll be honest the later game dragged a little until I got the Imperial reforms and I did kinda loose interest in traits when you have over 150 FM's, the main disappointment was AI forces tended to become very similar in the end and this time round I never got to face a Steppe army.
Where to now?
Delete, up date the mods and start again

Once again thanks again for the best game ever

Do a Casse Campaign now. Or Hellenon Koinon limit yourself so you fighting for your life in greece. (if you are like me and can steam roll the Makedon with the smallest number of troops (if you have at least 1 FM in the army and they don't have lots and lots of FM cavalry)

Makedonia.
Chris1959 11:46 06-19-2009
I'm kinda tempted by a Steppe campaign I've played Sarmatians etc and like the HA's but to succeed you have to blitz a little in the early days.
The Getai have some nasty units so may give them ago, also found the Ptolies bloody annoying opponents so may try them.
Never been too tempted by the Celtic factions, though by ancestory I should be and despite being utterly fascinated by them at school I just can't get to grips with the Punics, probably because the naval side of RTW was so weak.

Makedon campaing is a easy, although is also fun, for real chalange try arche seleukeia, or koinnon helenon, and if you increase the level of dificulty you are in for a rude awakening...muahahahahah
:)
ROMA VICTA!!!!!!
Got a screenshot of your empire? I'm curious.
Chris1959 12:42 06-19-2009
I'd love to show some screenies but I'm not the world's best on a computer.
So if you could tell me how, assume a real idiot, then I'll give it a whirl!!!!!
Maion Maroneios 12:58 06-19-2009
Makedonia man, the rest is unnecessary.

Sweboz, try facing the units you just had at your disposal, let Rome grow strong before wiping them so they are a challenge.
Baktria, a completely different part of the world than you are used to. Other enemies, other troops at your disposal, other challenges.
Steppe or Lusotania, new tactics to learn.
Chris1959 14:45 06-19-2009
I hope if this is right you get a shot of the early empire
And the later empire to end.
johnhughthom 15:26 06-19-2009
Can't see the shot, try changing it to JPEG format.
edit: working now.
Atraphoenix 16:49 06-19-2009

Andy1984 01:01 06-20-2009
Congratulations. I don't think many people did what you just did.
johnhughthom 01:03 06-20-2009
That looked like an almighty six way war going on in the east.
Celtic_Punk 01:13 06-20-2009
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MAKEDONIA GOT SLAUGHTERED!
johnhughthom 01:24 06-20-2009
Was that Hai buffer between you and Pontus your doing? Must have been nice to face the "Purple Nasty" rather than the usual Yellow or Gray Death.
mountaingoat 02:35 06-20-2009
getai still held on
nice map , pontus on the rampage
Celtic_Punk 08:35 06-20-2009

Thanks guys.
Pontus was the big AI suprise they were my allies for most of the game and early on I gave them and the Hai money but nothing else until about 150BC when the Ptolies started to fight back. Since they attacked me as well I invaded Syria and Judea and gave cities back to the Pontics.
Ultimately they took Pella so I had to respond and I had a long, long war with them and the Saba, which only ended when I created the Hai buffer state from conquests.
Celtic Punk KH armies in the 140's were lots of distinguished hoplites, but towards the end mostly peltasts, pantapodrai and light Black Sea Hoplites.
Towards the end it was the Saba who fielded the most varied armies, the Sweboz may have had a good mix, but I had few battles with them.
In the later game things far out east changed a lot when I dumped several million mnai on the Saka and Saraumatae!
machinor 13:22 06-20-2009
Black Sea Hoplites?
Nice campaign, btw.

I like the Arverni Iberogauls and the Indoparthians.
Dutchhoplite 13:36 06-20-2009
Nice work :)
Moosemanmoo 13:46 06-20-2009
Wow I've never seen Pontus end up east of the Hai, and the KH never seem to die
Anyhow jolly good show!
Wow, that's great man!. I know only two or maybe three guys who did what you did.
One day I want to do the same. Maybe on my next life, who knows hehehe.
Cute Wolf 05:20 06-21-2009
Hay survived?!?

that poor guy usually ends up die first...
Chris1959 16:01 06-21-2009
Hai were doing very well until Pontus killed the AS and finally turned on them.
do you remember when did you get the Marian reform? can it happen before 172?
Wow Pontos....
Chris1959 08:56 06-22-2009
Sarkiss I'm afraid I cheated on the Marian reforms, it was about 105BC when the one candidate I had for the Marians died and I had no plebian FM's who were sharp, charismatic and vigorous. So in 99BC the empire was about the correct historical size I changed the script to 45 provices
