    Default client rulers

Is it possible to make client rulers appear on the family tree?. I want my spartan families to die off in massalia and make a local, king of my new kingdom. Can I do this?

Perhaps if they win a battle and get a man of the hour adoption? Or is is only captains get that?

Idk. i just have thing against having people from a differant city being kings of another one. I want a massalian in charge of massalia, and I don't want my sparten fms any more. But if I kill them off, it says victory conditions failed since the client ruler isn't on the family tree.

Is Massalian ethnicity in the game? If sp perhaps you could try to get a Massalian to marry one of you daughters instead of using a client ruler, I believe the client ruler ethnicity is random and you may not get a Massalian.

Well, here is what happened. I built the government, local tyrrany, and it gave me a client ruler. He hasno ethiniticity but his name is Lysiskos and he has a greek portreit. His bodyguard is a celtic lesser king as well. I want him to be my new faction leader. But I still have one fm that is a korinthian and I don't want him to be king anymore.

Go and have him fight rebels or something. I had a client ruler become adopted after a heroic victory against some rebels marching around my territory.

The chances of him getting adopted are very slim i think. I never get someone worthy of being adopted. It always fails. Also he just got married, yet he is not on the family tree.

Huh, how does that work? Client rulers can marry? My Roman ones always end up getting grief for not marrying.

If you have a low number of family members, winning a decent battle with a client ruler will give him the "Man of the Hour" option of adoption. If you already have a large number of family members, there is no way to get a client ruler into the family tree.

The AI does not use client rulers and recruited generals because they do not get Type4 governments.

They can be adopted but they still count as a client ruler. You can't put them in a city that has a 'regular' government. They don't get rid of that special 'client ruler' trait.
