    Hm. Okay.
Can we have at least a (mainly) textbased EBII then?
With graphics like in the very first SSI CRPG's?
And even more important: will EB II run on the DOSbox?
    Finished EB Campaigns: Kart-Hadast 1.0/1.2 | Pontos 1.1 | Arche Seleukeia 1.2 | Hayasdan 1.2 | Sab'yn 1.2 | Makedonia 1.2 (Alex)

That's a good idea and ot would of made possible to release it until now many times.

Maybe I'll feel jolly after the last exam result and I will at least show them in a preview.

I'm getting a spidey sense tingle from all these minor-faction-winding-up, boat-finishing, strat-map-checking tweets. Sort of a release-date-nearing kinda tingle.

We could always host an EB-based fantasy Minecraft server. You can be the King of the Gauls, or the Roman Emperor. Maybe you're just the local governor of Kyrene. Pave your way to glory today at EBcraft.

    You're quite the optimist, eh?
My EBII-related expectations for 2012 include another faction preview and perhaps - if it is a good year - a preview about a few of the new game mechanics.
I don't even dream of a release this year.

(Please note that this is in no way means I'm unsatisfied. EB II and it's planned features is no mod but a real new game, even moreso than EB I. And since the team has to work on all these breathtaking ideas when coming home from a stressful and/or time-consuming daily job - not to even mention something as exotic and excentric as "private life" or "family" - I am absolutely fine with the information that there after all those years of dedication still is progress. )

A pseudo-corinthian helmet. It would probably be worn by an upper class greek, roman or possibly phoinician. Now the cute little pony is one of those unsolved historical mysteries..

καί τούς μέν θεούς έδειξε, τούς δέ ανθρώπους
τούς μέν δούλους εποίησε, τούς δέ ελευθέρους.

And Blxz was saved by Noble Wrath.

Indeed a pseudo-corinthian is the correct and now to your prize Noble Wrath, some eye candy and explanantions related to the workflow.

The historians gathered some pictures from various sources, such as coins, for some of the type of helmets used in Eb2, in this case:

However this isn't too useful for a 3d artist and hard to use so a concept artist will draw some detailed blueprints based on these. In this case, Gleemonex, a former member and great artist who sadly dissappeared:

Finally based on this, and thanks to Gleemonex for the decoration in the concept, the model and textures are created:

And finally we have a low and can also have high poly version of the given helmet.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peak and have a better understanding of how our workflow is in some cases.
